According to OXFAM Intermón, sustainability means satisfying the current needs without compromising the capability of future generations to satisfy theirs by ensuring the balance between economic growth, keeping the environment, and social welfare.
The sustainable development idea is born from here, like the progress that keeps such a delicate balance at the present, without risking the future resources. We shouldn´t forget the future!
In short, sustainability and sustainable development work following the principle that the available resources shouldn´t be finished in an indiscriminately way, we must preserve the natural environment and everybody has to access the same possibilities.
From MIO1898 we bet for this philosophy and the Dehesa del Valle de los Pedroches preservation and maintenance. We are proud of the Young Sustainable Farmer Award that has been awarded us in 2018 thanks to our variety of 100% Iberico Torbiscal recovery project.
